Lipolysis is a non-surgical medical procedure that efficiently eliminates localized fat from the body and thus remodels the desired region. As such, it is a non-invasive alternative to surgical liposuction.
It is applied to parts of the body that we fail to be reshaped by diet and exercise (arms, stomach, back, thighs, hips, buttocks, double chin).
Depending on the needs of the patient and the evaluation of the doctor after the examination, the problematic regions are treated with specific cocktails. Intra-subcutaneous adipose tissue at the targeted regions is injected with a specific dose of lipolytics, which leads to the breakdown of fat cells.
Regions most commonly treated with lipolysis:
• waist (love handles)
• inner thighs
• upper arms
• double chin
The dosages and concentrations of lipolytics are determined by the physician at a mandatory pre-procedure consultation. In particularly sensitive patients, an anesthetic cream is applied before the procedure.
Depending on the region treated, the procedure takes 30-45 minutes.
Mesotherapy lipolysis is a gradual process of the breakdown of fat cells whose final results are visible 4-5 weeks after the treatment. During the two weeks after the treatment, patients should make sure to drink at least 2 liters of water per day, as the fats from the body are excreted in the urine.
Depending on the region being treated, only one treatment may be sufficient to achieve the desired results. However, in most cases, two to three treatments are required for ideal results.
Mesotherapy lipolysis leads to a complete breakdown of fat cells so that no fat buildup reoccurs in the treated region. If you take care of your habits, diet and physical activity after your treatments are completed, the results are permanent.
The procedure is performed by doctors. Consultations prior to the lipolysis procedure are mandatory for each patient.
Redness, itching and bruising are normal and expected side effects of lipolysis. The swelling is most intense 24 to 72 hours after the procedure, and after a few days it completely disappears.
Lipolysis achieves perfect results in eliminating stubborn localized fat deposits that persist despite proper nutrition and physical activity. Best results are achieved in the regions of upper and lower abdomen, lower back, thighs, hips and knees.
